Police Demolish Prostitution Sites Resemble Coffee Shops
Jakarta, the Police dismantled the practice of prostitution under the guise of a coffee shop located on the Kukun Highway in Mekarsari Village, Rajeg District, Tangerang, on Monday (27/8) in the morning. The practice of prostitution is known to have been going on for the past three months.
Tangerang City Police Chief Sr. Comr. Sabilul Alif said that the disclosure had been arrested by YR (45) who was the owner of the coffee shop. When arrested, YR was reluctant to immediately admit that the coffee shop was used as a practice of prostitution.
Sabilul said that the alleged practice of prostitution in the coffee shop began with the discovery of a pair of women, E (34), and a man, K (30), who were in a room in the shop.
Both people are known not to be husband and wife partners.
"Both of them were caught in raids on community disease operations which targeted the alleged practice of prostitution and circulation of liquor," Sabilul said through a written statement.

After getting the information, Sabilul said YR finally admitted if the coffee shop was used for the practice of prostitution.

Sabilul said the practice of prostitution had been going on for the past three months. Visitors who came were actually people from outside Mekarsari Village.
YR is also known as the owner and provider of women to peddle prostitution services. "It has been operating for three months, the woman has been prepared by the stall owner," Sabilul said.
At present, said Sabilul, YR and a number of women suspected of being CSWs are still undergoing examinations to find out more detailed information. (end)
