TNI Investigates A Member's Engagement When Ciracas Police Was Burned

Jurnal kabar. Jakarta, the Jaya Military Regional Command (Kodam Jaya / Jayakarta) will investigate allegations of its members' involvement in the Ciracas Mapolsek burning, Jalan Raya Bogor, East Jakarta, Wednesday (12/12) morning.

Chief of Information Kodam (Kapendam) Jaya Colonel (Inf) Kristomei Sianturi said the Army Police (POM) of the Army had coordinated with the Metro Jaya Regional Police to thoroughly investigate the arson case which was said to be related to the case of beating TNI members several days before the incident.

"Pom TNI AD and Polda Metro are investigating the case of the Ciracas Police Headquarters whether there is involvement of an army officer," Kristomei was quoted as saying by Antara.


According to him, an investigation involving Pom TNI AD to see the connection between the beatings of members of the Army and the burning of the Ciracas Mapolsek.

"This will be investigated, is there any connection with the beating of members of the Army with the burning of the Ciracas Police Station. This is also investigated by the perpetrators of the burning of the Police Headquarters," Kristomei said.

Jaya Military Commander Maj. Gen. Joni Supriyanto and the Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief Insp. Gen. Idham Azis, had immediately come to the scene to see post-fire conditions.

In addition to burning the Ciracas Police Station, a number of people also damaged vehicles parked around the Mapolsek Ciracas.

Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief Inspector General Police Idham Azis ordered the East Jakarta Metro Criminal Investigation Directorate and East Jakarta Police Precinct to hunt down the perpetrators of the Ciracas Police Precinct.

Idham said a group of around 200 people raided the Ciracas police station headquarters to look for detainees who were secured for allegedly ganging up on a colleague.

The mass group, according to Idham, was allegedly related to the incident the day before which was handled by Ciracas Police.
A member of the TNI was attacked by several residents in the Cibubur area on Monday (10/12). The case was then handled by Ciracas Police.

After the beatings it was alleged that a group of people came to Ciracas Police Station to ensure that the residents involved in the beatings were detained. However, the mob damaged the Ciracas police station headquarters and a number of police operational vehicles.
